Terms of Service

The rules for using Synlit — your rights, your responsibilities, and ours.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Synlit web application at https://hub.synlit.app and the sites https://synlit.app and https://docs.synlit.app (the “Service”), operated by individual entrepreneur Kirill Andreevich Lakhov (Лахов Кирилл Андреевич) (ОГРНИП 325527500100411, ИНН 526215248062) (“we”, “us”). The Russian version of these Terms prevails.

By ticking the box accepting these Terms at registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to them. How we process your data is described in our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

3. Accounts

You provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
Notify us promptly at support@synlit.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
One person should not maintain multiple accounts to abuse limits or promotions.

4. What Synlit is

Synlit is a productivity and gamification tool: you create tasks, habits, and goals, track time, progress through skill masteries, and spend earned in-app currency in a personal “shop” you define. In-app coins and shop rewards have no monetary value, are not sold for money, are not redeemable for money, and cannot be transferred or sold.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

break any applicable law or infringe anyone’s rights;
upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts;
disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the Service except as the law expressly permits;
resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
use the Service to store or transmit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, that create legal risk, or that harm the Service or other users — where practical, with notice. If such an account has a paid Premium running, we refund the price of the unused days under the Public Offer.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you create in Synlit (tasks, goals, notes, shop items, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for advertising.

7. The Premium plan

The Service is free; the paid Premium plan raises its limits. Premium is paid once for 30 days, with no automatic renewal. The price and how payment and refunds work are set out in the Public Offer, which forms part of your agreement with us for Premium.

8. Intellectual property

The Service itself — its software, design, trademarks, and content we provide — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service; they transfer no ownership.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable. The free plan is provided “as is”, without warranties, to the extent permitted by law. Premium is provided in accordance with the Public Offer and consumer-protection law.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. The current version is always published at https://docs.synlit.app/legal/terms/. We notify you of material changes by email at least 10 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the changes, you can stop using the Service and delete your account; the price of the unused days of a paid Premium will be refunded under the Public Offer. Changes do not worsen the terms of a period already paid for. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including consumer rights). Keep your own backups of anything important.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account in the settings at any time. A deleted account is kept for 7 days, during which you can restore it by signing in; after that it is deleted permanently. If you have a paid Premium running, deleting the account counts as withdrawal from the contract, and the price of the unused days is refunded under the Public Offer.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content licence limits, liability, governing law) continue to apply.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation. Disputes are resolved in court in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim before the court of your choice in accordance with art. 17 of the Russian Law “On Consumer Rights Protection”.
