Mastery

Mastery is Synlit’s skill tree. Pick the things you actually want to get better at — writing, running, a language, a craft — and create a skill for each. Every skill has ranks and divisions you climb through as you put in the work.

Progress is measured in LP (Learning Points). You earn LP through related actions: finishing tasks tied to the skill, keeping habits, logging deep work sessions, or recording one-off achievements directly to the skill’s action log. The progress bar fills, the rank icon updates, and the next division comes into view.

The action log is worth highlighting on its own. It’s a running history of what you’ve actually done in service of each skill, expandable per skill so you can scroll back through weeks or months of practice. It turns “I should be getting better at this” into something you can see.

Mastery is opt-in. If you’re not in a phase of life where you’re trying to level something up, skip it. The rest of Synlit still works fine without it.
